CES partners with Wakefield Council to help tackle town's fuel poverty

Community Interest Company Community Energy Solutions (CES) is continuing its partnership with Wakefield Council in an effort to help tackle the town’s fuel poverty. CES which has offices in Leeds Boldon (Tyne and Wear) and Stockton worked alongside Dyson Insulations Ltd to install a 2.2kWp solar photovoltaic (PV) system at the home of Ryehill residents, Mr. and Mrs Fletcher in December 2011. The World Energy Council signs strategic alliance with the Paul Scherrer Institute

Following their successful collaboration on the “Global Transport Scenarios 2050” study, the Paul Scherrer Institute (PSI) and the World Energy Council (WEC) have signed a three year strategic partnership agreement. The contract signed between Dr. Christoph Frei, Secretary General of WEC and Prof. Alexander Wokaun, Vice-Director of PSI, will see Switzerland’s world renowned research centre for natural and engineering sciences becoming a Project Partner on future WEC Scenario projects. New book gives boost to Three Peaks

Background : In 1986 the Institute for Terrestrial Ecology carried out a study of the condition of the path network in the Three Peaks area and concluded that the region had the sad distinction of possessing the most severely eroded network in the UK. Natural Power to provide Commercial Back Office Support Service on Hall Wind Farm for RidgeWind

Natural Power has just been appointed to provide Commercial Back Office Support Services on Hall Wind Farm for renewable energy development company RidgeWind. The service will see Natural Power delivering financial and commercial administration services during the construction phase of the wind farm, which is due to begin on 16th January 2012. Gehrlicher Solar America expanding to Massachusetts

The international photovoltaic company completed two additional solar power plants. Springfield, NJ. Gehrlicher Solar America recently completed two additional commercial solar installations in the US. With the completion of a 151 kW ground-mounted system in North Dartmouth, MA, Gehrlicher Solar has successfully entered the Massachusetts market and plans over the course of 2012 to build at least 5 MW of projects in the state.
