The Green Up Bus inspires teenagers to rethink their waste habits
Working with Luton Borough Council, KCA London has transformed a standard coach vehicle into an inviting and attractive environment designed to inspire teenage audiences to rethink their waste habits – the Green Up Bus.
Bold colours, eye catching graphic treatments and the imaginative use of space makes the Green Up Bus very different to most mobile exhibitions. One half of the bus is an informal area, ideal for group discussions and presentations. The other half gives groups the opportunity to engage in hands on activities to independently explore sustainability issues.
The Green Up Bus is the latest in a long line of waste, sustainability and environment projects that the KCA London team have worked on. With their origins of working at the Science Museum, London, projects include the Valpak and Green Apple Award Winning i-Recycle Centre in Islington and the John Beanes Waste and Recycling Education Centre for the London Borough of Waltham Forest.
Councillor Bob Bellam of Waltham Forest states ‘KCA London distinguished themselves by providing new and innovative ideas with added value for money not to mention their previous track record of consistently delivering exceptionally creative and high quality work.’
