Cornwall County Council grants planning consent to the UK's first solar power plant

Cornwall County Council has decided to grant planning consent to the UK’s first solar power plant. Berkshire based company 35 degrees, will install 5,000 solar panels at the site of the former Wheal Jane tin mine near Truro. Cornwall Council is expecting as many as a 100 applications for solar power plants to be submitted in the wake of their decision.
