GE Energy has announced the shipment of its 10,000th 1.5-megawatt wind turbine, a global wind industry milestone. Over the past decade, GE’s 1.5-megawatt machines have been installed in 19 countries and have accumulated more than 130 million operating hours, producing more than 78,000 gigawatt-hours of cleaner, wind-generated electricity. GE Energy invests in Illinois and Texas wind farms(09/04/2008)
GE Energy Financial Services is partnering for the third time with wind power developer Invenergy Wind LLC, by investing in Illinois and Texas wind farms that will produce emissions-free electricity equivalent to taking 96,000 average US cars off the road. MMWEC agrees to purchase assets of Berkshire Wind Power(12/02/2008)
The Massachusetts Municipal Wholesale Electric Company (MMWEC) has entered into an agreement to purchase the assets of Berkshire Wind Power, L.L.C., in Hancock and Lanesboro, Mass. The purchase is planned for closing by late May 2008 or when various conditions of the agreement are satisfied.
