Eneco has inaugurated its Tullo Wind Farm near Laurencekirk in Aberdeenshire. The £26 million seven-turbine project has an effective capacity of 17 megawatts and is capable of generating sufficient green electricity to meet the average annual needs of around 9,000 homes. West Coast Energy announces progress on Carsington and Crimp wind projects(01/12/2009)
West Coast Energy has announced progress on two proposed wind turbine projects. Developments at Carsington in Derbyshire and Crimp in Cornwall have been consented. West Coast Energy's Carsington development is the first of its kind to be consented in Derbyshire. Councillors are expected to hear protesters make their case against the planned Cushnie wind farm, located near Alford in Aberdeenshire, this week.
