Biomass power plant burning recycled wood chippings given planning approval by Stockton Council

Stockton Borough Council Planning Committee has given the green light to a £200m biomass power station that will bring with it a jobs and investment boost for the Tees Valley. The plant will burn recycled wood chippings to generate enough energy in a year to supply power to more than 80,000 homes with green electricity that will link into the local grid.
