Opcon AB has acquired 100% of Saxlund Holding AB, which is one of Northern Europe’s leading suppliers of equipment for bioenergy plants. In addition to the 75% that Opcon earlier signed a letter of intent to acquire, Opcon has now acquired the remaining 25%. The Opcon Powerbox is a product developed by Opcon for the production of new carbon-free electricity from waste heat at temperatures as low as 55°C. Swiss heating plant increases energy efficiency with Opcon's waste heat recovery technology(26/06/2009)
SRE, a subsidiary of Opcon AB, has received an additional order for a flue gas condensation from a bioenergy plant in Switzerland. The customer is the district heating plant owned by the municipality in Winterthur, which by using Opcon’s technology for waste heat recovery will increase its energy efficiency by around 25-30% while significantly reducing emissions of particles.
