Bioenergy crops bring positive benefits to our landscapes and help combat climate change(06/03/2009)
A group of interdisciplinary scientists funded under the Rural Economy and Land Use Programme, with additional funding from Defra, has shown that many positive benefits could accrue from growing perennial biomass crops in the UK, such as short rotation coppice (SRC) willows and Miscanthus grass, for bioenergy and biofuels.
