Alstom and PGE Elektrownia Belchatow S.A. have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) for the development and implementation of carbon capture and storage (CCS) technology at the Belchatow power plant in Poland. Alstom Ecotècnia to supply 300 MW of wind turbines to Iberdrola Renewables

Over 20 GW of new wind turbines were installed worldwide in 2007, boosting global installed capacity to over 100 GW. Europe made up 60% of this total.
