Loch Fyne Oysters has been working to dramatically reduce its carbon footprint and has managed to cut down CO2 emissions by 160 tonnes in 2011 compared to 2008.
At their base in Argyll, Loch Fyne has achieved this by changing its light bulbs and fittings to low energy appliances, installing motion sensors in the chills, putting timers on the under floor heating and removing the use of shrink wrappers and replacing with strapping machines.

Lark Energy has installed a total of 126 photovoltaic panels on the roof of South Holland District Council’s headquarters in Spalding, Lincolnshire. The panels will produce approximately 24.87MWh of electricity over the course of a year. This will enable the council to save a substantial amount from its electricity bills and significantly reduce its carbon emissions.
The PV panels were manufactured by Hyundai and were supplied by Larkfleet Group company Eco Building Products.
